Greg is the Duke of Edinburgh Co-ordinator here at Ashton Sixth Form College and is happy to answer any questions you may have - either drop in and speak to him in IT2.7 or email him gregory.smith@asfc.ac.uk

We usually enrol students at the beginning of October and you will begin the programme as soon as you have enrolled. We aim to complete your expedition within your first year at college. You may be able to join later, please drop a message to Greg as outlined above.

When you join you are welcome to come to the first meeting before you pay your deposit and make sure you are happy and comfortable with the programme. We ask you to pay your £50 deposit as soon as you can following the meeting as we can't buy your place from Duke of Edinburgh until you have. Once we buy your place the deposit can't be refunded (as Duke of Edinburgh themselves don't give refunds). The remaining money is then paid as outlined on the form - you will be part of the decision making process at the Gold level.

Please note, you will agree expedition dates for training, practise and the qualifying expedition with your expedition leader and your team members before you commit to the expedition. We will do all we can to ensure the dates suit everyone. Please help us do that by responding quickly to messages.

Please return your enrolment form as soon as possible - the sooner we can start you off the sooner we can make arrangements and the sooner you will have your award!
